The name of this painting comes from a piece of music from the film 'Lord of the Rings' - the music has a strong theme of home and longing, and of beauty about to be lost.  It fitted this painting too which was a delight to paint - the last of the rose light glinting off the mountains giving them that dreamlike quality.
